Rope Drop Type Grounding Device

Rope drop type grounding device consists of a conductor clamp manipulated by a length of synthetic rope (silk wire rope or PP rope), a length of cable with PVCjacket and a rounding clamp. It is used to release the static electricity accumulated along the overhead conductor. The conductor clamp is made to approach the conductor by dropping the synthetic rope and grip conductor from the bottom of the conductor by lifting the synthetic rope. Release of the gripping is also by means of synthetic rope.
